Ford Transit Connect 220 1.6 TDCi 75ps/95ps L1 Cab in Van

The all-new Ford Transit Connect range released offers operators the opportunity of another highly competent vehicle in the compact van sector.

Completely updated from the last Transit Connect model from Ford which gained many followers, the new model is offered in both L1 and L2 variants. With three models to choose from, the panel van, Double cab in van and the Kombi, in Base, trend and Limited editions. It is offering more flexibility and payload to those who require a specific vehicle to compete in their sectors

The L1 Connect variant will offer two Euro pallets or 3m in load length, the L2 Connect variant offering a further half metre in length. Cubic capacity of the L1 is 2.9 Cubic Metres in size with a payload of 625-825kg and the L2 variant offering 3.6 Cubic Metres, along with 700-1000kg of payload. The Double cab in van offers 1.2m/2.2m cubed (seats up/down)/ 725kg on the L1 model, and 1.6m/2.8m cubed (seats up/down)/ 716kg on the L2 version.

The Connect range has two effective engine capacities with the new 1.0 litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine delivers 100PS and 170Nm of torque with a six-speed manual transmission. Combined with other fuel saving technologies such as Auto-Start-Stop, this award-winning engine gives you all the power you’d expect from a conventional 1.6 litre engine, but achieves around 24% better fuel economy and 25% lower CO2 emissions of just 129g/km. Alternatively you can choose from four 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine options: 75PS, 220Nm, five-speed manual transmission, 95PS, 230Nm with five-speed manual, or 115PS, 270Nm with six-speed manual. The 75PS and 95PS engines are available with optional Fuel Economy packages that include: Auto Start Stop, Active Grille Shutter, Battery Management System and Smart Regenerative Charging. There is also a highly efficient ECOnetic option too; a specially calibrated and configured version of the 95PS unit that features the Fuel Economy package and a 70mph switchable speed limiter as standard (a fixed speed limiter is available as an option).

With Electronic Stability Control (ESC), advanced Traction Control System (TCS), Hill start assist,  Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Multi Air Bags, multi locking and locking arrangements with secure locks, advanced anti copy keys and steel bulkheads, security and safety with the Connect model whilst driving is covered in many aspects not seen with other manufacturers.
